Who was David Collins Burn ?

As you know by now, my favorite topic is the Mego / Lion Rock WWII line.

There are still so many questions regarding this line that have yet to be answered.
One of these questions is: "Who was David Collins Burn?"

The German release "GESTERN WAR'S" figures came with a small catalog
that contains pictures of the 32 figures from the German release, as well as a short adventure story:

On the back of the catalog there was a foreword by "David Collins Burn",
presumably the author of the adventure stories:

They even printed a picture of him on the catalog!

The foreword is in German. Here is a translation
(probably not 100% accurate, because English isn't my native language…)
    ---
"When I was born in 1947 as the son of an English officer in Africa, the Second World War
had already been over for 2 years.
At home, in school and from people who had taken part I have heard and read a lot about this time.
Some things I simply couldn't believe. But it all fascinated me so much, that my heart pounded.
I finally wanted to know the truth. That's why I studied intensively the Second World War for many years.

Because kids today ask as I did back then, this series was created.
It intends to show how the years from 1939 to 1945 really were. Without glorification and without prejudices.
For children in Germany and France. In England and America. For children around the world.

    David Collins Burn
    London 1977"

    ---

But who was David Collins Burn?

I did a few google searches and didn't find much.
The only link I found lead to a page "South African Death Records"
that lists a David Collins Burn, born on 3 June 1947.
That could be him, because the foreword mentions that he was born in 1947 in Africa.
Which would mean, unfortunately, that he already passed away

I wonder if he had also been working on the other Mego WWII releases or just the GESTERN WAR'S line?
Was he the author of the adventure stories, and did he write them in English or German language?
Why was he working in London? So many questions…

Has anyone heard of him? Are there any former Mego / LR employees who might have known him?
