Will this somehow factor into an episode of Portlandia?

Probably not, since it's in Vancouver, Washington.

That is funny! Actually, I meant to contact the producers of Portlandia for my last big show but then I thought, careful what you wish for as film crews are a pain.

The last incarnation of local toy shows was contacted to throw together a fake toy show for an episode of leverage filmed in portland of which i was to be a part of some years back, but then they pulled the plug fearful of copyright issues with all the trademarked toys.

The original King Kong is a favorite of mine, I would go to your screening if it was in my neck of the woods. I wish you the best and a fruitful turnout for a silver screen all-time classic, it's one of the greatest stop motions!

Car is all packed up. I'm bringing some high-grade packaged Mego Super-Heroes, WGSH Posters and 8x10 Prints, as well as other vintage Toys and a couple of one-of-a-kind Mego book-related items to share with fellow Mego Museum board members. Look forward to seeing Mike and Lonnie, and hopefully Skot and Paul. If anyone else is coming, be sure to stop by my table and say 'HI'.

Great event! The copy of Kong was clean and complete. Seeing this classic on the big screen has now been crossed off my bucket-list. Got to meet imp in person and get a copy of his reissue book (signed), as well as 4 retro-action Mattel. Also purchased a EMCE Mugato. Totally worth the 250 mile drive.

The one drawback to being a vendor and watching a table was not being able to go sit in the theater to enjoy the whole film, although Ben, Mike, and I got to see a few segments from chairs outside the theater doorway. That print did look great. I may have to watch the film at home in the near future.

Doc Cyclops, thanks for taking the Mugato off my hands. I bought it as a spare quite some time back for a member here to make a trade for a Pike...but since he turned out to be in Canada and me in the US, the postage was outrageous and the deal fell through. Sometimes these things just happen. In any case, I'm glad it finally went to a forum member in the end anyway.

The print was top-shelf. I've seen Kong on video at least twice a year for two decades. Ray H., Ray B. and FJA all said that this film is best viewed on the silver-screen. Now I know why. Thank you so much Mike .
As for the Mugato, I loved how the sale went down. I wanted all your Trek figures and couldn't afford them at the time. I offered you a lower price on Mugato and you said that's my lowest price. Then I paid it. Happens all the time with me. I just can't pass on a good deal.

That was the best way to see Kong, the way it was meant to be seen.

I've still got the other 3 Trek figures sealed on the cut cards, by the way. PM if you're still interested.
