Up Close: The Monkee Men

Re-runs of The Monkees were an afternoon staple for many a 70s kid (self included) growing up, so naturally, we were delighted when Figures Toy Company announced that the first ever Monkees action figures would be in the Mego style.
So we’re a bit giddy here at the MegoMuseum to have all three sets of Monkees figures in hand for upclose photo reviews.

Here is part two of our review, showcasing the Monkee Men Superhero line of these figures. It’s a little known fact but Superheroes are kind of a big deal at the Mego Museum……

Nice feature Brian! That photo display is really selling me on these figures. Between this and the advance single from the upcoming Monkee's album, I have to say I am getting the fever. The head sculpts are really impressive here and the outfits look great. Love the fact they didn't overlook the iconic hat for the Nesmith figure. This is a cool series.

I was kind of hoping for a vinyl toboggan for Mike, but they look great. I enjoy the group and want a set. The "up close" features are really helpful to me.

Monkee Men would probably be the way I go if I get a set. Works into the collection better. VERY tempting! The Davy sculpt is better than I thought, seeing it upclose. It think what's throwing it off is that his eyebrows are too thin. Davy had some thick eyebrows.

The "Monkee-Men" need thick framed glasses to really complete their look... I would guess someone like pmwasson could whip those up?
