    Gotta collect 'em all

I have purchased very, very little of the Figures Toy Company DC releases, despite thinking that a lot of them are really nice. I think it's because of the "gotta collect 'em all" mentality. Batman 1966 doesn't excite me. I was never a big fan of the series. And yet, I felt compelled to buy wave 1. And then after that, I stopped buying ANY of them, despite wanting, for instance, the Super Friends and 1st Appearances. I really need to get over that "all or nothing" mentality!

mmmmm same here ... the only ftc figures I own are the teen titans mego versions because of the chances of me getting a nice loose mego set is slim, all the other waves of figures don't interest me at all.... mego for me really

I'm captain "pick and choose", I think if I tried to buy them all I'd lose interest fast.

My tastes are all over the place so I've always been more pick and choose.
You are a bold and courageous person, afraid of nothing. High on a hill top near your home, there stands a dilapidated old mansion. Some say the place is haunted, but you don't believe in such myths. One dark and stormy night, a light appears in the topmost window in the tower of the old house. You decide to investigate... and you never return...

The teen titans have seriously dropped in price now , but Im only collecting the batman 66 from FTC now, and Im seriously not bothered with the variants. Bring on Scooby Doo, and that might change, Oh I cant wait !!

I will learn. I want my collection to be fun again, and not stagnant. Selling things off that I don't own duplicates of is a huge step for me. I never watched The Rookie or SWAT, so why in the heck did I ever feel a need to own the toys?

With as much product as there is in this scale, not to mention great offerings in other scales, it is nearly impossible to collect em' all these days!

I agree with you, Joe about being a completest, and I don't have doubles. I've always sold off figures as I've upgraded.

I have a nice, sizable collection, but I've never felt pressured to add Happy Days, S&H, Dukes, or CHiPs to it--those shows meant nothing to me. But, the Waltons did and I have a set.
WANTED: Dick Grayson SI trousers; gray AJ Mustang horse; vintage RC Batman (Bruce Wayne) head; minty Wolfman tights; mint Black Knight sword; minty Launcelot boots; Lion Rock (pale) Dracula & Mummy heads; Lion Rock Franky squared boots; Wayne Foundation blue furniture; Flash Gordon/Ming (10") unbroken holsters; CHiPs gloved arms; POTA T2 tan body; CTVT/vintage Friar Tuck robes, BBP TZ Burgess Meredith glasses.

The sad thing about TT is that frankly 50% of that wave was crap, and many wanted them as placeholders. Thanks goodness the GWs set is nice.

I fight the same urge all the time. I've been able to be strong when it comes to FTC, picking up a limited number.

I think it helps that I'm in the process of selling off all my Marvel Legends figures. I kept buying every figure as each line was introduced because I just had to have 'em all. Now I realize the all or nothing urge really drove me to several figures I never really wanted.
                          WANTED - Solid-Boxed WGSH's, C.8 or better.

I would collect em all if I could afford to and display them. I also get he ones I really like now. One line that I will have all is the 66 batman. I still need he last wave. IMO, the best of all the new megos.
