2015 Kubby Awards Voting Thread

Another year has passed and that means the annual Kubby Awards return to salute the best in ReMego figures for the year as picked by you, the fans.

Named after former Mego VP Neal Kublan, the Kubby Awards looks at ReMego figures released in 2015 that are not simply straight reproductions of original characters (Because nostalgia is a powerful mistress) that really won us over this year.

We had a staggering amount of figures produced in 2015 with many players and formats this year, truly something that really looks amazing in perspective.

So please vote in the survey and tell us who done good, we’ll announce the winners in two weeks!

Just noticed that Mr Freeze is listed twice for question 2

Took the survey, I hope it worked. There was no acknowledgment from the survey host that the results were successfully saved or uploaded. After the survey the survey hosts wants us to register. I took the survey last year too, but upon reflection of this one it kind of saddens me there wasn't a lot of company diversity in terms of products. For me it was a difficult question to answer who was better Venture Bros or Batman 66.

I've lamented the loss of remego product from BBP on other threads so I won't go on about it here. We know FTC will most likely remain the biggest maker of retro figures, but I hope in 2016 we can see more product from other companies no matter how small. Neca, EMCE/BBP, and Odeon will hopefully bring new things. Next year should hopefully add new Star Trek figures. Maybe next year we can vote on the customs as I know many of us will be crafting new DW figures or Star Wars: The Force Awakens.

Hope 2016 vote is this hard. We got a lot of cool stuff this year!

So far we've gotten 100 responses which is kind of disappointing. Considering how much bantering about what we don't like is done here, I kind of hoped there would be more voting for what you did like.

I don't know this software well and I certainly don't have the ability to do much except block malicious people, sadly, some people tried to screw with this poll. They must have really empty lives.

I don't think I've purchased any of these, as I've been concentrating on building my vintage WGSH collection. Do you think it is fair that I can still cast a vote if I don't have any of these in hand? I mean, I'm sure there are very few of us who have all of these, but I didn't buy any of them. I love the Kubbies, and the fun associated with best-of lists, but don't want to spoil it with my armchair vote.

I understand what you're saying and appreciate it. You can skip questions you don't like but I guess if you've seen figures you do like then give them some props.

Also, a couple of these questions are from FTC themselves, so tell them what you'd like to see.
