    Best Packing Job....Ever

We've all had the horror story of a carded item sent in an envelope or somebody merely putting butcher paper over the original box itself and shoving it in the mail. It's nice to regail somebody who went above and beyond.

I recently purchased a carded Ape and was surprised when I picked it up, it felt really solid.

That's because the seller had made a wooden box to ship the figure in:

It's really well made too. Inside the box, sealed in a baggie, secured with newspaper was the figure, it took me a few minutes to carefully remove him.

Hooray for somebody going above and beyond, I'm totally keeping this box!

LOL! Likely it would find it's way under the wheel of a UPS jet or they'd be wondering why a package was so sturdy and heavy and call Homeland Security.

I applaud this pack job greatly. I know when I send anything out to anyone, it gets shrink-wrapped (the benefit of having access to a shrink wrap machine), wrapped in about five sheets of bubble wrap, then brown Kraft paper then goes into a sturdy, but reinforced, cardboard box and then taped to within an inch of its life.
sigpic Oh then, what's this? Big flashy lighty thing, that's what brought me here! Big flashy lighty things have got me written all over them. Not actually. But give me time. And a crayon.

What a great job. Beutiful figure and box.
Speaking of homeland security, Purchased a cast metal 'Beaky Buzzard' figure off ebay years ago. Took an extra two weeks to arrive in the mail. When the box arrived, it was split and you could remove the item simply by pushing the sides of the USPS priority mail box. When I contacted the seller to inform him that I received it, he said;WTH? I mailed that three weeks ago. I told him I knew that because of the postage date stamp. Then I told him what I believe happen. The post office gets this package and the metal detector blows big time, next they x-ray it and can't tell what it is. Finally they slit the box and find cast metal cartoon character. :D
