Very nice. I really appreciated both the explanation of how these figures came about sans license and the rundown of their incarnations. As much Mego knowledge as I might have, I didn't know the timeline on the Lion Rock Monsters.

As a kid, I didn't know about AHI being the Universal license holder. In fact, I still saw the AHI versions as ""knock offs." I simply preferred Mego. C'mon... glow-in-the-dark hands and eyes!! You can't beat that.
    WANTED - Solid-Boxed WGSH's, C.8 or better.

Excellent infomercial!!! Jason did a nice job with the narrative. Very well done guys. I love these overviews. That really nails done a great historical perspective for people just coming into the hobby. This is a wonderful idea. The really like the newspaper ads too. Nice touch.

Thanks guys, glad you dug it. I threw everything I could into this one. Eventually I'd like to do everything Mego made.

That was great! I didn't know AHI beat Mego to the market with these, I assumed they hit at relatively the same time.

Love the nicknames for you and Jason at the end as well.

I'm not sure that they beat them to the market but it was definitely a race to get monsters out there for both companies.

Fantastic! Monster variations comprise most of my grail list at this point.

Producing this short made me realize all the gaps in my collection, I honestly thought I had a set of type 2 monsters....

A great video. I have T1 and T2 sets, but I'll be honest: Even after seven years here, I still don't understand all the glow-hand permutations.

That said, I'm looking for some of the Lion Rock heads.
WANTED: Dick Grayson SI trousers; gray AJ Mustang horse; vintage RC Batman (Bruce Wayne) head; minty Wolfman tights; mint Black Knight sword; minty Launcelot boots; Lion Rock (pale) Dracula & Mummy heads; Lion Rock Franky squared boots; Wayne Foundation blue furniture; Flash Gordon/Ming (10") unbroken holsters; CHiPs gloved arms; POTA T2 tan body; CTVT/vintage Friar Tuck robes, BBP TZ Burgess Meredith glasses.

Hopefully the Westerns and Teen Titans are coming soon.

I'm awful with what I have and don't have, it's prevented several decent Mego Meet purchases and I still get mixed up.

American West is one I'm looking forward to doing actually, although I will need some help with Kresge, Lion Rock and Timee toys images.
