New Mego Flash Gordon Foreign Card Discovery!

The amazing card artwork for the Mego Flash Gordon*line featured in the 1978 Wiggins Teape Catalog from the UK was largely believed by us to have never have been released. That is, until last weekend when Stephen contacted us and proved that they does indeed exist. Turns out the Mego Flash Gordon line was released…

Fantastic discovery! I love the card art, the UK outdoes us again with Mego packaging.

Not at all, Mego shared distribution based on lines. A lot of countries had 2-3 distributors.

UK had five or six companies selling their wares.

Wiggins Teape also did Steve Goalgetter.

Seeing these cards along with the Palitoy WGSH and POTA cards is making me question the design of the N. American cards. The UK are just so much better.
                          WANTED - Solid-Boxed WGSH's, C.8 or better.

WOW! That is incredible. Flash Gordon is one of the high marks in the Mego history books. A true gem of a figure line.
