^^ Maybe someday you and I will get into a bidding war on ebay over a broken circle or diamond suit We can hope, right?
It will kill you to know the broken circle cost me $15 with shipping and another spiderman figure. Auction with no photo, had a fealing asked the seller about the suit. So I knew it was a CCS but was suprised to see it was a type I had never seen befor. At the time no one on the board had seen one, it was named by another member ( I think Dave Mc).
I think there has been 2 others since.
And yes that is my photos in the variation section of spiderman on the museum.
I always have to look at Green Arrow whenever I see one. He was always my favorite Mego as a kid. I still don't have the suit color combination that I want with him but the one I have is keeping me satisfied for the time being. So far, I haven't felt the need to buy more than one of any single Mego unless I am using them for customs.
Now my FP Little People is another story...I keep buying those like crazy!
I, too, am a Mego Spider-Man addict. I must have about 10 of 'em or so, with most of the variations (still need a broken circle and broken diamond... ah, but I can dream), and a few carded/boxed. But I'm trying, TRYING to get over my addiction. No more Mego Spideys for me. No sir. Nope.
Think I'll go check out ebay now, y'know, just look a bit... see what's out there... (slowly backs out of room)
"It's sad that governments are chiefed by the double tongues. There is iron in your words of death for all Comanche to see, and so there is iron in your words of life. No signed paper can hold the iron. It must come from men. The words of Ten Bears carries the same iron of life and death. It is good that warriors such as we meet in the struggle of life... or death. It shall be life."
I have an overwhelming urge to buy 8" Mego Hulk every time I see them. That Spidey picture reminds me of a picture I saw here of someone's huge collection of Mego Hulks in a bin or something. I can't remember whose it was, but I was so green with envy when I saw it. I love Mego Hulks and I want a million of them.
Always Batgirl. I think it's because she was my favorite female figure growing up, and consequently she got damaged rather often. After I broke my second childhood one, I hunted for a replacement in the wild for years until I finally found another in the late 80's. Since then, whenever I see one, I always want it--but I have learned to say no unless she's very inexpensive. I currently have 5 of her in various conditions. Last year when I sold off a number of duplicates to pay bills, I felt ill dropping down to 3. No more than a week afterward, I landed another one in a hidden auction and I felt better.
I thought that was a little OCD, but hearing some of your stories, I don't feel quite so bad anymore
