    Very cool !!!!!!!!!

To this day, after collecting Star Trek since the early 1980's I've still yet to see a Mego Enterprise toy (or Kling or Vulcan Shuttle) in real life.

    They're just nowhere

I don't remember them much as a kid but when I started toy dealing in the 80s, there were huge piles at the Sears clearance center in Brampton. Like they got a massive amount. I would buy them for five dollars and sell them for 15 to US customers. Did I keep one for myself? Nooooooooope!

It's amazing how something so close (the Canadian market as opposed to the US) can be soooo far.

Wonder if it's still like that today ?

Not so much, the reason we got so variances is the distributors paid with letters of credit for the toys. Mego could cancel a line, they couldn't.

About how long is the Enterprise ?

Is it similar in size to the Southbend one ?

                It's just under a foot I'd say.

Diamond Select really messed up their recent release of this type of Enterprise. Looks like a drunk guy painted it, dropped it down several flights of stairs, then crammed it in the box.
All their other versions are excellent. Must have been Happy Hour at the toy factory.

Do you have the Art Asylum one ?

That thing is sweet (except for the flimsy way it connects to the stand)

These are pretty cool pieces. I don't recall seeing them at retail, but I never was much of a model guy so if I saw them they probably didn't register with me.
