It changes automatically based on post count. I think at some point you become allowed to change it on your own to whatever you want. I can't remember at what point that is though. -
I think you can change it after you make 1000 posts...

I think the name change occurs every 50 posts or so. If I recall correctly you can edit your own as soon as you get to 200 or 300 posts.ScottComment
