God, I remember all the excitement waiting for the first edition to finally come out. Can't believe that was nearly a decade ago! My son (now nine years old) was a newborn, barely a month old when I got the promo postcard in the mail from Ben.

This is terrific. I bet this edition outsells the previous by a quite a wide margin. With the resurgence of Re-Mego bringing in all kinds of old fans and making new ones, this is a no-brainer, free money kind of product. The target audience has probably doubled since the first release, so I see HUGE numbers for this. Congrats to all involved.

I'll be getting a copy as a back-up to my original. That way if anything happens to it(I sure hope not),I'll have this.

I thought FTC began the current ReMego revolution with their Mad Monster reissues and Munsters figures. Those were the ones that got me into Mego collecting when I saw them in my local comic shop. FTC had already released dozens of figures a full four years before the first EMCE figure ever came out.

It's the World's Greatest Mego Book.

I only hope someone eventually adds new volumes on the rest of Mego-world...

Doc Mego has been an integral part of maintaining and moving the scene forward for YEARS.
There was a long stretch where he was the only "big" name in the game.
                  The EMCE partnership was later.

This is great news, really happy for Ben! And happy to know that all those folks who missed out on the first printing for various reasons can now get a chance to have this amazing book. I bought this book multiple times, and wound up gifting each of them to various people over time, so now I don't have a copy anymore!! LOL But I read it many, many times and will be picking up this second printing, so it's all good

Look, I'm not discounting anything the man has done for the hobby. The fact remains that FTC was the first company to make NEW Mego figures and get them to retail. I'll never forget the day I saw those Munsters figures hanging on the pegs.
FTC figures are the reason I started collecting Megos again. FTC figures are the reason I joined this site. Honestly, I had never even heard of Doc Mego before coming here. In fact, the only name I associated with Megos was Charlee Flatt, and that was only because of Toyfare magazine.
Anyway...this isn't a contest. I'm just relating my own experience. I'm so glad this book is back!

DM provided resin accessories in the ''90s and added China-produced accessories, bodies, and clothing around 2003.

CTVT introduced their non-licensed repro Mego repro lines in 2005, including Mad Monsters, and added other licensed lines later.

DM's expansion company Emce introduced Mego repro Star Trek figures in 2007, and POTA in 2008, with "Mego" endorsement.

Not discussing quality, we can at least suppose that there was some synergy building over a few years in a niche market.
WANTED: Dick Grayson SI trousers; gray AJ Mustang horse; vintage RC Batman (Bruce Wayne) head; minty Wolfman tights; mint Black Knight sword; minty Launcelot boots; Lion Rock (pale) Dracula & Mummy heads; Lion Rock Franky squared boots; Wayne Foundation blue furniture; Flash Gordon/Ming (10") unbroken holsters; CHiPs gloved arms; POTA T2 tan body; CTVT/vintage Friar Tuck robes, BBP TZ Burgess Meredith glasses.

Great news for everyone that needs a copy of this great book at an affordable price. Both a smart move by FTC and a nice "Thank you" if you've got people buying their product who missed out on the original book.

For me the Castaway standard Phantom brought me into collecting remegos. Castaway and Emce both are a big chunk of remego history .
The Universal monsters by Emce are also some of my favorites

Will absolutely get a copy this time - learned my lesson with missing out on the first edition, plus the extra stuff from CTVT is a great bonus!

I got into Megos again thanks to Museum Member jwiz154 some years back, and he was the one who introduced me to Dr. Mego's Repos (catalog). CTVT, Cast-A-Way, ZICA, etc. followed, and I'm fans of all of 'em. But to me, Doc was the first, so props to Paul for getting the ball rolling for me!

It shall be life."
