I like these cards! Looking forward to these variants, and some (say perhaps Brainiac, Black Manta) will serve in any assortment,
Speaking of [I]Black[I] Manta, this editing of his name is confusing and vaguely ridiculous--unless FTC plans on releasing the olive-suited version, which the card does not indicate.
* Black Manta, race undefined, first appeared in comics in September '67, and shortly thereafter in the Aquaman cartoon.
* He was self-revealed as a black militant underwater terrorist in Adventure Comics #452 (July '77)
* He appeared in SF as "Manta" in a brownish suit, in September and October '77 shorts, but these episodes would likely have been animated before the Adventure Comics reveal.
* He was a charter member of the Legion of Doom as classic "Black Manta" in SF episodes starting in September '78.
* He has been featured in many recent toys, collectibles, comics, and toons as Black Manta, including Young Justice, Batman: the Brave & the Bold, DCU Classics, and Mattel Retro-Action.
So, what's the problem/confusion, FTC?
