I've never spent the $$ for the 12 inch figures, but Dynasty may be the line I splurge for. I love that album.

What is my............. Charisma???

I've really been looking forward to Dynasty tour figures, glad it's finally going to happen!

Yeah the whole ownership of the makeup for Eric Carr thing is kinda weird. I know McFarlane Toys managed to circumvent that issue by releasing their Eric figure with makeup that resembled the first-version style seen on the People Magazine cover, and a costume that wasn't really accurate either. I'd love to see FTC release Eric and Vinnie figures but I have a feeling that might not ever see the light of day unfortunately.

The FIRST Dynasty era action figures set was done by Todd Macfarlane Toys back in the late 90s early 2000's. They did the Unmasked era with Eric Carr. They did an amazing job.

Yes, it is believed that Vinnie Vincent owns the rights to Eric Carr's makeup.
As mentioned, Eric did have 2 makeup designs.
His original Fox makeup and the redefined Fox makeup Because after Eric's first performance with KISS, manager Bill Aucion didn't feel that the original looked enough like a Fox.

FTC could use the original design if Vinnie does indeed own the more commonly known version of the Fox.

Here is the original makeup.

The redefined makeup.

Then, I'm curious why they haven't done Eric as of yet.

A 12-inch Eric Carr seems to bee a hot-seller waiting to happen (????)

The Dynasty Tour was my 2nd KISS concert (ALIVE II being my first).
I've always loved these costumes but many fans think they're too colorful and prefer the costumes that are basic Black & Silver.

Seems like if FTC had the rights to do it, that would've been their smartest first move as far as releasing KISS retro-figure product----not only "smart" as far as sales, but also, as far as bridging the vintage Mego line with the modern FTC line---kinda like FTC's recent "vintage Mego-bridging" move of size-correcting Mego's WGSH Myxie.

I'm wanting to see an FTC Creatures Of The Night figure wave that could compensate for a lack of unique facial expressions by the band on the 1982 Creatures album cover, by FTC giving the Creatures wave a uniquely dark-blue, black, and fluorescent-yellow deco/color scheme!

It would definitely be a polarizing look---and I'm not sure FTC would want to risk it. I suggested that approach, firstly, as it's inspired by some of the Batman black and white deco product I've seen over the years, added to that seeing that "Dynasty" Gene was quite inspirational and prompted me to ponder the KISS license for FTC as never before.

I have little interest in KISS figures alone----but KISS figures that capture, not an album's "accompanying tour" but that capture an album's actual cover----now, that's intriguing.

I know that Dressed To Kill has already been rendered---and actually not that badly----but there was something pedestrian about the "KISS dolls in dress suits" that didn't really do it for me despite how nice they looked.

For me, I think what it comes down to is THIS: "The more unique of product that I see, the more I'll compliment it, and am likely to buy it."

At this point, it's obvious they're selling these figures to mid-to-hardcore KISS fans----I'd like to see how "unique" they could get without losing money.

You mentioned a REVENGE wave.

If FTC has the rights to do any era of KISS, I'd try like the dickens to put out a REVENGE wave----and, I'd consider a LICK IT UP wave---both LIU and REVENGE represent huge re-births in image for the band.

Plus Gene and Paul's expressions on the LIU cover are so dang iconic----yet without make-up.

ALSO!...

If FTC wanted to, they could do variants of Paul Stanley & Eric Carr in their 1980 "Unmasked Tour" costumes.
As you can see, Ace Frehley and Gene Simmons are still basically wearing the same (Dynasty) style costumes but for some reason, Paul changed his costume in 1980 and Peter Criss was replaced by Eric Carr.

If they do, I just hope they realize that Eric's signature color was Orange & not Red.
