1966 Alfred (Alan Napier) Prototype from Figures Toy Company

    * Figures Toy Company revealed a new wave of Batman 1966 variants today on their facebook page. The belle of the ball however is Alfred as played by Allan Napier, this is an unexpected surprise. Alfred is an Entertainment Earth Exclusive look for it shortly.

        He looks good.

The up coming figures, pictured on the back of the card, look interesting.

By the way, his name was Alan Napier. Not Allen/Allan.

Alfred, Bruce and Dick are pretty cool, but seriously they couldn't just make the Joker's utility belt as an accessory? The masked Penguin is a real waste.

            From Wikipedia:

In 1966, he was the first to be cast in the Batman TV series, as Bruce Wayne's faithful butler Alfred, a role he played until the series' cancellation in 1968.

"I had never read comics before [I was hired for Batman]. My agent rang up and said, 'I think you are going to play on "Batman,"' I said 'What is "Batman"?' He said, 'Don't you read the comics?' I said, 'No, never.' He said, 'I think you are going to be Batman's butler.' I said, 'How do I know I want to be Batman's butler?' It was the most ridiculous thing I had ever heard of. He said, 'It may be worth over $100,000. ' So I said I was Batman's butler."

Gotta have that Alfred! It looks great. I wish I'd held off on Bruce until they came out with this smoking jacket/robe. Dick in disguise is a fun outfit too. I see Barbara Gordon and Batgirl on that package back!

Is this a figure made before they addressed the bigger heads? He is still large up there.
                      Fresh, not from concentrate.

Alfred is welcome, though I wonder if this is a variant on a release in full suit, likely solicited very shortly. The Bruce and Dick look pretty good. Probably won't bother with buying a new Joker and Penguin just for the mask and belt, though.

However, the new undone characters on the back of the package are exciting! Batgirl? Barbara Gordon? Eartha Kitt Catwoman? Yes. please!

guys..wait for the regular release of Alfred

this version is just the variant...plus right now you have to buy all 5 just to get him....so wait for FTC regular suited release

Alfred--rather spiffy despite those terrible glasses FTC insists on using on everything. If they do that with Bookworm, they should be shelved permanently.

Bruce & Dick--nice variants, love the smoking jacket.

Penguin--Meh, a thousand times meh. Just a waste, and using a poorly-designed mask again. They could have done his jockey togs, instead.
