    Jealous much?

As a kid what neighbor or friend had that toy that you wanted so bad that it made you play with him just so you could play with it.Mine was the kid down the street,he had a Batmobile,I had a Batman that had to walk everywhere,it sucked.Hah now I have 2,now my Batman can have a choice to ride in.

Actually I think I was that kid! But I was jealous of everyone who had a Big Wheel.

my neighbor had a stretch armstrong and i even managed to buy it from him for $5. my mom made me return it. little did i know she had already bought one as a christmas gift for me. unfortunately, when she finally gave it to me for xmas, it had already sprung a leak in the box. we took it back to sears to exchange and they were out of stock. still looking for one!!

Well, I dunno if you'd be jealous of the stuff I had, since I'm a girl and had mostly dolls. But I had a huge room (it was meant to be the living room). I also had a custom designed skateboard when I was 12 that was considered big for the time (when everyone was riding banana boards). I was the only kid on my block (that I knew of) that had my own TV in my room (remember I lived on the outskirts of Harlem).

              I guess that's it.

I was jealous of my friend's removeable cowl Batman. I could only ever find painted ones.

A kid down the street had the POTA first series figures when they came out. I almost couldn't rest knowing I didn't have them as well. Over time, I eventually got them, but it was rough there for a while. :biggrrin:

I had a neighbor three houses away that when the new wave of POTA figures came out got Burke, General Urko, and Dr. Zaius with the new style boots. The same day/week I got Verdon, General Ursus, and Galen. I think our parents must have been shopping together. I always wanted Urko. Too bad that I had to wait to 2007 to finally get one.

The same neighbor also has the Batcave playset and the Batcycle. I had the Batmobile and Batcopter but I loved the Batcave. I had to make do with the "Lost Continent".

I had alot of toys of my own but I can remember being jealous, or a bit envious, of a couple of kids who had certain toys I wanted. My friend Robbie had a bunch of the 24" Shogun Warriors, I only had Raydeen, but since that was one he didn't have, it worked out to our mutual benefit
My friend Danny had inhereted his older brothers Megos, and he had Tarzan, Green Goblin, Green Arrow, the Mad Monsters and a few Apes. None of which did I have, nor ever saw on the shelves at the toy store. I'd always hoped I'd inherit them from him someday, but we lost contact after a while and eventually when I inquired about them, I found out his mom threw them away a while before *sigh*
Another kid who lived down the block for a short time had The Thing and a few other Megos I'd never owned nor saw. I remember almost fainting when I saw The Thing lying on his stairs up to his bedroom!
And then there was the ginger haired kid who owned a Green Machine, that every kid in my 'hood, including myself, was jealous of!

I'm pretty sure some of my "friends" played with me because of the toys I had.

One of them was so jealous of my GI Joe Skystriker jet he "threw it to see if it could fly". It broke instantly and was never the same after that. The kid was 10 years old, he knew better. He just didn't want me to have one if he couldn't.

On the other hand, he took great care of his toys and if we had the same toys, we never played with his, only mine. He'd wipe them off and put them back in the package or a carrying case. He'd put vehicles back in boxes. Now here I am with boxes of wrecked toys thanks to him and his brother, and I'm the toy collector. He probably sold his off on ebay for a mint.

I've mentioned him before but Donny was the kid on my street who had everything! His parents were total hippies too. I hung around with Donny the most but sometimes I found childhood jealousy would get the better of me, I once launched his Spiderman glider on the roof. I was a jerk.

I can honestly remember getting a figure, say a General Urko and Donny would run inside and get an Ursus, Cornelius and Zaius, he was great for that. He had Stretch Monster!

Sadly, his parents split and sold the house, I haven't seen him since '78.

I never had a Green Machine. Man I wanted one of those so bad. I have no idea what else, a bb gun probably. Mom didn't like guns, and was afraind I would shoot all the birds or put out my bros eye.
