I get a chanel on Cablevision called MonstersHD. They mostly show B movies, like the type you would see on Mystery Science theatre 3000. But, they do mix in some "A" movies. This week they are running a different POTA movie every night. Before tonight's showing of Escape from POTA, they had a 15 minute special dedicated to POTA toys. About 5 minutes was dedicated to Mego. They showed a close up of each figure and named them. They also showed an MOC set. Lastly, they showed a complete treehouse set up. Elvira was the host. She even pronounced "Mego" correctly!

Yes, there is also a martial arts HD channel. Just like the monstersHD they play a lot of stuff from the 60's thru the 80's, complete with no commercials and in HD.
For the last few weeks I was thinking of starting a thread on the generalbuzz page on the museum. I have been watching MonstersHD non-stop for the past two months and was curious if anyone else in the museum gets it.Comment

You can watch it on the channel's website:
Monsters HD
The player loads automatically and it is the second video in (You can hit the chapter skip and go right to Elvira hosting the video with the merchandising for POTA. Mego POTA is at the end of the video.)Comment

Wow, what an awesome website. I wish they showed full movies, instead of just the clips. AMC used to run these B movies on Saturday nights; they called it American Pop or AmPop. I miss that."Do you believe, you believe in magic?
'Cos I believe, I believe that I do,
Yes, I can see I believe that it's magic
If your mission is magic your love will shine true."Comment

Yes, I saw this...the show is called Monsterama...They had all kinds of POTA collectibles. They did devote a nice segment to the MEGO figures and Treehouse. They also spoke of the website apemania.com. It was replayed numerous times. The second Monsterama was on Aurora models showcasing all the monster models, but a special longer segment of it on The Munsters and all their collectibles.Comment
