the Ertha Kitt version looks great. They got Newmar's eyes pretty well but the head looks to big. I wish they would make a better female body, those wide hips just look terrible on CatwomanComment

NOOOOOOOOO!!!!
The Faces...do not look smooth...the cheekbones on Newmar shouldn't be that hard, it looks like an old lady sculpt.
And Kitt...RBF plus Lantern jaw.......Females look best sculpted with smoother lines not hard ones and angles.
I sure hope to hell these prototypes get fixed before production. Great suits, lousy sculpts.Customizing 1:9: My Videoblog journey of Customizing!

Wow! Ok both Catwomen (Catwomans? Catwomi? Catwomananzes?!?) look really nice!Expectation is the death of discovery.Comment

Great resemblances... Great headsculpts... Great outfits... They both look awesome! Sorry haters!Comment

I'm on the fence on the Catwomen. I'm betting the sculpts are really nice, but the limited paint apps aren't pulling the likeness through, giving it a half-baked look.
Its the "damed if they do, damed if they don't" pitfall of doing retro-style figures. If you stick to the format but use more modern techniques like NECA you lose a lot of the Mego feel. If you go too simple (see the first FTC '66 Burt Ward Robin) you end up with a kind of generic look that only approximates the actor if you squint. They've nailed several of these (Mad Hatter is a personal favorite). I'm going to have to see more pics of these to decide, but I do salute them for trying to actually capture the likenesses of Kitt and Newmar, and not just generic female heads.
As always the rest of the newsletter is great. I missed the BraveStarr knockoff!!!

I think the likeness hits reasonably close, given these are Mego style. I like them. When and if Hot Toys goes after these characters, I'll raise the bar to meet expectations. But here, I think they match up well with the rest of the line. I'll definitely be adding these.Comment

Agreed. I like the head sculpts. IMO, nice touch with the Molded Wrist Guard gloves, with posable wrists for those clawed hands. The details in the necklace and belt are impressive. Today is a good day for gratitude.Comment

While certainly not FTC's best work, these aren't the worst, either. I think they'll fit in nicely with the rest of the line, and I look forward to adding them.Comment

I am impressed with the likenesses and detail. I really like these. Better than I thought they'd be.

They look good, its a shame tho that FTC can't bring themselves to upgrade that horrible body. It does no justice to Newmar or Kitt. You must try to generate happiness within yourself. If you aren't happy in one place, chances are you won't be happy anyplace. -Ernie BanksComment

I think the Newmar figure is really nice, notably nice work on the hair and the eyebrows. Wouldn't hurt her to have a bit of a smile, I think it works for the character, but really that's a preference, not a complaint.
Eartha's top bun, on the other hand, looks to me to be screwed on a half-turn too tight. I'll have to see more pics of that one from another angle...
In any case, certainly a necessary addition to the line and glad to see them on the way.Last edited by rodkeith; Apr 14, '17, 9:37 AM.Comment

Not a fan of any female Mego's or re-Mego's.
That said, these look fine (to me) compared to all of the other females made in the Mego style.Comment
