Looking for Green Arrow accessories, Doctor Who Sonic Screwdriver, and Japanese Popy Megos (Battle Cossack and France, Battle of the Planets, Kamen Rider, Ultraman) and World Heroes figures
I like the Cotswold Tarzan, but a bit expensive. Classic Toys McKinley President is interesting since I can name a few more popular President’s I would rather see sooner than later, like Dwight D. Eisenhower and Harry Truman and Andrew Jackson, and by the way is that supposed to be Mirror Mr. Rock?
The Grungatoys Six Million Dollar Man, er, inspired set is returning to Cots as well. Sadly, it's kinda pricey.
May have to be content with the Mike Power Atomic Man knockoff I was able to cobble together inexpensively some years back when Cotswold came out with clear limbs for their Vintage Joe style Elite Brigade body. (Thanks, Greg!)
Bits and pieces are about the only "affordable" way to go with sixth scale now. Miss the pre-collectible, mass market cheap days. I understand that indy low run production is costly. Just not as fun when I can dress myself for less than I can dress a figure.
nice ish - great to see Brue super collecting at the meet. Happy to support the museum bandwidth and got my pin in the post last week. Awesome surprise to win an oven mitt lotto as well as some super cool Action Jackson trading cards. If you are on the fence about getting a pin - DO IT! Really cool and inexpensive way to help fund the museum.
thanks for all teh work you put in with the newsletter, the meet, and the museum.
dressing as Brick Mantooth was one of the most fun costumes I've ever done. I just wish I had been around when the Super Collector was there. I always seem to miss him.
Some fun stuff this week, as usual. The Fate box looks good, but I nit-pick the Justice League logo. I know he's been a member of the League in more recent times, but he's much more associated with the JSA, especially in the Mego era. I imagine that was a DC edict, though, and I don't think that was worth going a few rounds with the license owner over, so it is what it is. I still like the choices for the art here, though; all the pics save Nightwing look like something from the era Mego might have used. I display everything loose. so packaging usually doesn't matter at all o me, but I am actually saving these boxes as they do push a major nostalgia button for me. And I do remember seeing that Saturday Morning ad in the comics at the time. I have no idea where they got the color scheme for Isis there; is that a special costume for going to some tropical island?
You are a bold and courageous person, afraid of nothing. High on a hill top near your home, there stands a dilapidated old mansion. Some say the place is haunted, but you don't believe in such myths. One dark and stormy night, a light appears in the topmost window in the tower of the old house. You decide to investigate... and you never return...
