    Secret Identity figures: Value holding?

With the FTC release of Bruce Wayne and Dick Grayson, I'm curious if anyone has seen a decline in the original's value.

I'm seriously considering selling mine, along with my original Romulan, but only if the market is still solid

Value is always going to be subjective, I think the Economy plays the largest part coupled with, what someone is willing to pay against what your willing to accept... I don't think the Vintage AE values will suffer much. IMO, I own a full set of originals and both the FTC Bruce Wayne and Dick Greyson and they pale in comparison.

Best thing to do is test the market. With FTC out there doing their thing, it is getting harder to find individuals to spend money on original vintage pieces.

I think the market is down. I also don't see prices on these ever rebounding to what they were pre-replicas. If you're looking at these as an investment, I think the best time to sell has past. If you want to recoup some of your money, now is probably the best time to sell before the value decreases further.
        Fresh, not from concentrate.

Troy, as you may know I am still on the search for alter ego original figures...and I would love for you to pm me your price list if you ever wish to sell...
the market is down as many of the collectors have aged out and reduced the competitive pool but the primo stuff like AE will always get a good price year in, year out

A year and a half ago I picked up from a collector a minty unused peter Parker for under $700, it had clark suit color bleed on minimal parts of the clothes but was minty unused otherwise...without the color transfer spots it would have sold for much more

For me, every intense mego collector already each has their Ae figs and there are less newer collectors like me desperate for them...simple supply and demand

If your willing to wait another twenty years, that's when the next crazy spike for vintage AE figs will happen but many of us will be on ventilators by then, ha!

You don't want to know what i once paid each for a Wayne and Grayson.

I'd like actual Grayson & Parker someday.

As you can see, Troy, there will always be interest in buying an original alter ego at a fair price on the Mego Museum, ha!

Plus I'm excited this is a vintage mego thread! The newer stuff is nice but man!
