I believe Brian and I are in agreement that our favourite part of the Canuck figure is the way the head turned out.
Check out the original head sculpt for Canuck by Andy Covalt (MM's Crimson Ghost).
When Brian, Paul and I first sat down at Mego Meet to begin this project, we were all in instant agreement that Andy was our guy. He was just coming off of an AMAZING run of sculpts for the Mattel DC Retro line... creating heads for characters like Flash and Green Lantern, making their debut in Mego format and looking like they fit right into the original Mego line-up of the seventies. That's what we were hoping for with Canuck, and that's exactly what we got from Andy, under the guidance and expertise of Paul. Finding that right balance between the original comic book art (that jawline!), and the classic "Mego" feel. For me, the project really came alive when I opened up my email and saw these pics... suddenly this was REAL, this was Happening.
The one thing Brian has always been adamant about throughout the process is making sure we didn't suffer the "Noggin' Problem" that seems to crop up in so many ReMegos. We give Paul full props for delivering on this... a perfect sized head when you place it on the shelf next to the World's Greatest Superheroes. Captain Canuck truly looks like he belongs in the line-up of vintage Superheroes, just like I always imagined as a kid.
Andy and Paul did a killer job on this head, and we're really proud of it and the amazing work they put into it to ensure it was done right. Big round of applause from me fellas!

You'd probably be better off just giving Ed an extra big hug instead (you're welcome Ed!).
