Do you feel connected on the museum w/ other members who joined around the same time?

I feel like that with members like vinny0026, relic, mvanis, peter panda and many others who joined at roughly the same time...we need a yearbook, ha!

not that i necessarily socialize with them, just wondering if others, even longtime veterans, are like that...

Well, some of these guys have been around a lot longer than I have, but I still feel a connection. I think it has to do w/ the replies they give, liking the same stuff, or at least a general knowledge of the same things. I think it's that commonality that joins us together.

Nope, I feel connected with everyone here. Seriously, I can't explain it. This is the nicest, most fun message board I visit. Just all around good people with all around good taste. I know I haven't been here very long, nor have I gone to any Mego Meets (It's always the same weekend as my favorite Niagara Falls Comic Con), but the vibe here is just plain awesome.

I've always practiced the motto of "treat 'em as you meet 'em"...meaning there are guys that don't seem popular that have been very kind to me and others who seem to have rose petals thrown at their feet who have come off as arrogant or rude to me. With the exception of a very small population, I like everyone here. We're all here because we share a love for these toys and that in itself makes me feel a connection to all of you, even the jerks.

I can't imagine a better group of folks anywhere else.

I don't even remembered who joined around the same time. I've been here for over 10 years now. I feel pretty well-connected to everyone, but obviously some more than others. But it has nothing to do with my "class".

Yes I do and some members I see a few times a year . Others just at megomeet . But still I feel connected to a lot of museum people .

Johnny and I joined within 4 months of each other in 2003. In Illinois, I believe that qualifies as a common law marriage.

Fun replies all around, and to clarify I wasn't knocking on other members, ha! I just feel like there is a group of members who will always be a part of my freshmen class.

Not really with me either Mike. Most of the folks who joined near the time I did are not around that much, one actually died. It is like anything else is life I guess, people with pass in and out of our lives till we die.

I can't recall who joined at the same time as I did, but a lot of those that I was close to back then went away (for all sorts of reasons).
These days, I have a couple of active members here that I feel are brothers to me, I don't remember when they joined.
I've been here for 7 years now. Anybody else join in 08?

I'll always feel connected to Mikey, he's like the "Ancient one" to me. He was the first member to reach out to me when I joined, and made me feel accepted.

I don't even remember who joined around when I did. The people I feel most connected to are those who I've met in person at Mego Meet. Meeting and getting together many folks have transitioned from "online friend" status to "real friend" status. One of the reasons I always push people as much as possible to attend. I love the board but having a new group of friends with a similar interests has been nothing but a positive.

Most of the group that joined when I did have long since moved on. I still pop by occasionally, but I do miss the old days
