Thanks for the comments all! Yeah, I try to get to as many actual toy shows as possible a year. Where I live, Toyman in St. Louis, Kane County, Columbus (which I still haven't been to) Louisville and Nashville flea markets are all within driving distance. And of course MegoMeet!!! I know Ebay is convenient, but there's nothing like walking around a show, seeing all the sights and talking the hobby with like minded folks.
MegoMoe - The Count Dracula colorform set I picked up was early on Saturday. I saw the other one too. I will tell you my set is complete as well and was a real steal. PM me if you wanna talk prices
Nice haul! I was there and enjoyed it, though I didn't pick up too much this time. Focused more on getting stuff for my wife's Barbie and Halloween/Xmas collections rather than my own.
Castle Dracula colorforms. Nice haul! I looked at those and considered getting them. If they were $25 cheaper, I may have grabbed them.
Great show, but monster stuff was hard to come by!!
I still prefer going to shows over Ebay whenever possible. How many times have you bought something off Ebay only to find a litho tear, crease, etc. that wasn't visible in the pic or described well by the seller? At shows you can inspect the item over before forking over the dough!
Chicago was a great show way back when I can't justify spending the gas money to deal with stubborn dealers who want over fair market value. Heck I don't like doing that at local shows. Before eBay the toy shows were all we had for better or worst. Looks like you got a weekend good haul though. Keep the collecting spirit alive.
