Scott, I think my last 8" Megos were Children's Palace reaquisitions in the early '80s (I was probably in 7th grade): Batman, Robin, Superman, etc. I began collecting Megos again shortly thereafter, and then again with a vengeance in 2007.

No. It was because of the overwhelming desire to have Chekov and Sulu. I know they were not available when we were kids, but that didn't stop me from asking my parents or Santa for them. I also wanted a Shuttlecraft Galileo to defend from hostile Klingons!

Man, Arkansas wasn't "cool" in the 70s.

Yeah it sucked. And still has it's moments. Seriously though as a kid as far as I was concerned (and knew) Batman, Robin and Superman were it. I didn't know there were more. I had seen the KISS commercials on TV and immediately busted out the letter to Santa. I think it was October when I saw it... The Superman figure I saw an ad for in a catalog of some sort. For whatever weird, blinders on point of view I never noticed any of the other Mego's that may have been in the ad.

I wasn't aware that Mego made one.

They didn't. It's just something as a child I wanted them to make for the ST figures. Though they did apparently plan one for STTMP but ended up not releasing it.

For some reason my kid brother had Fonzie and he didn't collect or play with Megos. Batgirl was the only Super-Gal that I didn't have.

I was never a fan or the Hulk or Thing Megos because of their size. I always thought Mugato looked cool.

12. What Mego did you always want but never had? - The 12 inch KISS figures and 12 inch Superman. Never even saw them in stores so needless to say the commercials were a real bummer.

It was a great one. When Diamond or whoever it was released the repro a few years ago, I considered buying it.

I decided against buying the new repro, and holding out for a vintage one.
The 70s child inside me needs an original!

I would never have had this many vintage Megos if it hadn't been for the Museum. In Belgium, they released hardly any WGSH, now I have all of the Marvel Megos, except Conan. That pesky barbarian.
MM members got me my Thor, Iron Man, and at prices I could afford.
