Sometimes you do what you have too, to get back an old favorite. I want a bloody Stretch Monster, and the darn things are a fortune. I really just want the head, but haven't seen one yet. Same with the shogun warrior mazinga missles. 21 bucks for 3 the other day."Steel-like jaws clacked away, each bite slashing flesh from my body - I used my knife and my hands, and when they were gone, my bloody stumps - and yet the turtles came."Comment

I agree waiting a bit could've saved you about $15-$20,so it's not that bad to get something you want right away."Time to nut up or shut up"-Tallahassee

A mint Spock still sealed on a 6 face card for $60. is what the average going price has been, so you didn't do great and get it for a steal but you certainly did not over pay either.
It is interesting to read some of these comments because i was just reading in another thread about some who feel that when some items that went at one point for a higher price and then another one later goes for much less, it's because of repros.
The items are worth whatever YOU are willing to pay. If you are willing to wait and get one for less, thats great. If you decide to get one right away and pay a bit more thats great too. It doesn't mean that when it sells for less it was effected by a repro, it could just as easily mean that at any given time you may only have a certain small amount of people willing to bid on a given item at THAT time, and out of those few at that time an even smaller number who are actually willing to bid only so high. Putting BIN pricing aside, to get the price of a non BIN priced auction up higher and higher usually requires two to tango, at least the last time I knew. If a certain item sold for $500 a few years ago and then this time around a similar one doesn't get even close to that other amount from before, it doesn't always mean that the value dropped or that the value was greatly effected by possible repros. It could simply mean that the price was effected merely by the potential, or lack of potential buyers at that given time and date on that particular auction. Auctions and the prices of items at any given time are effected by who is looking for a particular item and when they decide to look with the money to buy.Last edited by wyldpny; Mar 26, '08, 11:53 PM.Capt. A blank back card would be a rare later produced Sears catalog offering would it not?Capt. Kirk: "Is there anyone on this ship, who even remotely, looks like Satan?"
