Spider-Man Sofubi

Is in this month's previews. I couldn't resist ordering this one after passing on Batman, Superman, Batgirl. Price is high for a vinyl figure, but the Mego style packaging will put this one over the top for me. at 500 pieces, and mostly for the Japanese market, I'm guessing this will disappear from the market soon enough.

The Marvel Spider-Man Sofubi (Item Code: JUN148300, SRP: $80, pg 510) is another novelty available for pre-order as it is the debut piece for the Marvel Heroes Sofubi line being introduced to western collectors for the first time. The fan-favorite wall-crawler stands at 9 ¾” tall in heroic pose, sporting his shiny red and blue spider costume. This vintage-looking collectible is limited to 500 pieces in North America, making it a novelty for collectors to pre-order guaranteeing they get it when it ships in January 2015.

Dang, darn, dammit! I like this one a lot. I can pass on the DC stuff pretty easy, but Spidey's always been my fave. He is a bit chunky here though, no?

250 mm is almost 10 inches tall, that makes me feel a little better about the price tag.

Broke down and pre-ordered this guy. I have convinced myself that nearly 10 inches of Spidey molded in Japanese Vinyl is a steal at $80. For some reason I thought these guys were only about 6" tall. March is a long way off. :(
