No, this was painted by my pal Jon Wardell. He's the paint supervisor at NECA and works on all the prototype figures...as well as painting card art!

Well I think that we will get a pretty good handful of Apes figures. It may not be 20-30 figures. But seeing that they made 4 different Jason Voorhees figures in a short time, I think we can expect a nice batch of Apes figures!

It would be easy enough to make. I think it will happen, which means, I just gave it the kiss of death.

I think that if they make a sack cloth Jason (not anyone's first choice, I'd say), a Beneath Mutant isn't that far a stretch. It won't be their first choice, but definitely possible. Sideshow made two versions.
It all depends on how much they need to pay for each character.
I'm pretty confident that some Apes are just around the corner. In the meanwhile, I've pre-ordered Taylor, so NECA knows that we do support the line.
