Mego North 2 on Sunday September 7th

After the first successful event, Mego North is returning*on Sunday September 7th at Canadian Toy Con event in Burlington ON. Mego North is a gathering of Mego collectors from the United States and Canada and is*housed in a fantastic vintage toy show.

This year we’ll have an exclusive figure (with strong Canadian flavouring) and will be selling remaining Mego Meet t shirts, plenty of vintage surprises as well.



Other features this time include a classic arcade with games such as Joust, Shinobi, Dig Dug, Double Dragon, Ms. Pac-Man, Donkey Kong, Robocop, BurgerTime, Spy Hunter, Pole Position, Star Wars, Tetris, Space Encounters, Kangaroo, Super Pac-Man, WrestleFest, Road Blasters, Die Hard, Gauntlet, Vanguard, Zaxxon, Tutankham, Stratovox, Galaga 3, plus multiple pinball machines and more!

That was really a terrific day, the only downside for me was the lousy traffic on the way home.

Otherwise, it was a total trip hanging around with Chris, Aaron, Dana & Bro (sorry), Ed, Martin, Kevin, Andrew. My friend Jane set up along with us and was directly behind me, so the day completely flew by.

These kinds of days are good for my overall mood, I'm especially glad we stayed for the dinner this time.

On top of that, I moved a few things, bought a couple of goodies and my grand experiment of a father and son business venture didn't backfire, except that my partner is bad with money.

All that and I discovered that I now suck at Shinobi, a game that I was once king of.

It was a great time again! Tony (bro) and I always look forward to doing the Burlington shows with you guys and hanging out afterwards. Brian that was an incredible job on the narrator figure I've was showing mine to some people last night and they couldn't believe the detail that went into that figure awesome job sir! Hopefully I'll be adding some Martytoy customs to my collection soon!

I had a great day as usual hanging out with the Mego North gang. My sales were so-so (one of these days I should actually bring Mego stuff to sell at a Mego North show!) but at this point it's more about hanging out and shooting the bull with people I usually don't see as often as I'd like. And the vintage video game set up was awesome, I saw some arcade games that I haven't seen in years (Joust, Popeye, Spy Hunter!) and a vintage KISS pinball machine that I really lusted over!
