Hi, I'm Bill from the UK. I've been lurking for a while, and finally had my account activated last night, so thought I would say
! I don't really consider myself a Mego collector as such - I collect all sorts of toys (too many!!), both modern and vintage - mostly Star Wars - but I have acquired quite a few Megos over the years. I recently got them all out of the loft with the intention of selling them (I seriously need to downsize!), but once I had them in my hands again, I found I couldn't part with most of them. My interest in the hobby has been re-ignited, and whilst I don't intend to buy any more (famous last words!), I'm really enjoying the ones I have.
I have a few from different lines - WGSH, Wild West, Star Trek, Wizard of Oz, Mad Monsters, Fonzie, Action Jackson - but my main passion is POTA.
I have around 30 monkeys (plus humans), all the accessories - horses, wagon, catapult, etc, and until very recently, I had three big playsets - I'll probably regret selling these, but I just don't have the space to display them.
I look forward to joining in with the chat here, sharing some photos and hopefully becoming a part of this great community.

I didn't know there would be cake, this place just gets better!!
Being a POTA fan you picked a great time to start collecting again, as NECA is producing a Mego style 8" Taylor figure! I'm sure like most POTA fans...you were disappointed Mego never made Taylor.
In fact, I bought a huge lot of POTA some years back, which included several custom figures, one of which was clearly supposed to be Taylor, but I always call him Brent, as he seems far more likeable! Of course, the first movie is a classic, and Taylor was an integral part of it, but he's such a sneering, arrogant guy I can't feel any sympathy for him, and always root for the apes!
