Tiger Man makes me wonder; Did Mego pioneer the O-Ring 3 3/4" figure? Obviously Hasbro ran with it a few years later to great success with G.I. Joe:RAH. But was Mego the first to develop this style of body?
I think the Buck Rogers and Black Hole lines has the best sculpts they did in the 3 3/4 inch scale. Generally the sculpts on their non-Micronauts 3 3/4 stuff tended to be a little weak. But they really upped their game with them. The one big drawback to the BR figures is none of them had accessories. Buck and Wilma's guns permanently molded into their holsters was very frustrating and if you tried to put a Star Wars gun in their hands it would snap their thumbs right off because of the hard brittle plastic. Same with Black Hole. Only Sentry and Star came with lasers and you'd break the thumbs off the other figures if you tried to give them one. Very frustrating as a kid.
You are a bold and courageous person, afraid of nothing. High on a hill top near your home, there stands a dilapidated old mansion. Some say the place is haunted, but you don't believe in such myths. One dark and stormy night, a light appears in the topmost window in the tower of the old house. You decide to investigate... and you never return...
