    I can't help saying May-Go!

I'm sorry, but after having said "May-Go" for 30 years, I just can't bring myself to saying Mee-Go.
    It just doesn't feel right.
I have therefore decided to stick to my guns and keep saying it the old way.

May (the) Go be with me.

PS: I'm starting a May-Go support group soon. Members are welcome.

    LOL
Yup, I know exactly where you are coming from on this one. For many years I always said it the wrong way as well.
I would and sadly still do sometimes by accident pronounce it as Meg (like Keg) and then the o (oh).
I either don't remember the commercials from when I was growing up where you hear them say it properly or maybe I was just so enthralled with the toys and yelling to my Mom to come see and so I didn't hear the announcer say the Mego company name.
The sad thing is I have been interviewed a few times recently and I always say to myself for hours before hand, it's pronounced Mee-go, and yet when my mouth opens out in the interview out it comes the wrong way..again.. just as I have been saying it for all those years >sigh<
Hopefully I can retrain myself to say it correctly soon. I think it is actually pretty insulting to continually pronounce something or someones name incorrectly, especially when you now know the right and correct way to say it. Just think of it this way, if someone kept saying your name wrong, even when after awhile they had been told the correct way but then just kept saying it wrong anyway. To say nothing if they then told you that they were going to stick to their guns after trying a few times and simply keep saying it wrong. Do you think that would annoy you to no end?

A friend of mine always says Meg-o and it drives me nuts. No matter how many times I correct him he continues to say it Meg-o. I've since given up.

To me it's Meg-o as in Lego.
I think Lego was bigger in this country so it just seems right.
I mean Mego as in it's "my turn" just seems a bit dumb...sorry.
To base a whole company on the bad pronuncation of a child is
                  questionable.
I always knew them as "my Spider-Man toy..." wasen't that in to La bels

My girlfriend refers to them as "your little men".

                        or sometimes "your little dollies".

That is about when she gets a time out in "the dark place." Which some refer to as the cellar, or basement.

I was just talking about this the other day. I always called them Meg-o as a kid and I still think it sounds better. So I still call them Meg-o unless, I meet up with one of you

Used to pronounce it Meg-o since I didn't knew any better, but ever since I learned that was wrong I started pronouncing it the correct way
