I saw your PM -- not ignoring you, but there have been larger and more pressing concerns around here recently.

I discussed this briefly with my son while he was in the hospital, recovering from hand surgery. I will talk with him again and get back to you.

Ok, thanks for the response and I hope your son is doing ok! I have acquired the domain name "retrotoymania.com" along with the facebook page. I am putting my ducks in a row.

There is an inherent pleasure in the no cost planning stage...I'm glad you got a name and Facebook set up.
What town do you dream to set up your store in? Is there a cluster of main street stores with antique malls within walking distance of each other? Is there an opportunity to sublet from another related business?

For now, we will get it up and running in cyberspace and see how we do. Speaking with the voices of experience here and elsewhere, it seems the best route to go for now.

I ran a flea market based toy shop out of the NC state fairgrounds for 15 years. It can be done. It is still running, but I no longer own it. A web based toy shop with just vintage will have a very hard time,it would be almost a sure fail. I had a very active store and could not make it work on the web. I spent way to many hours sending lots of pictures to would be buyers, only to have then waste my time. If you want to sell toys online set up an ebay store it is your best chance.
