Batman '66 arrived at my office today so a set or two will be featured on my table at Burlington Toy Show.

Yeah, we've really become aware that the 80's driven advertising and focus is what brings the increasingly huge crowds to the toy shows these days. The up side of this is that within this large pool of patrons, Chris, Brian and I have successfully carved out a niche in the last few years (and I really should credit the Fitski Bros as well in the past year or so). I'm always in awe and totally grateful for the growing number of regulars who storm the doors at opening time and head to our tables first (many whom have become friends).

The promoters became aware of this portion of their demographic when the passion and the enthusiasm of the Mego North crew (Chris, Brian, Matt, Marty, Dana and Tony) managed to move the needle on traffic (both web and physical) for what traditionally should have been a quieter January show!

I'm still trying to convince myself it wasn't a fluke, and they have really gotten behind us Mego-heads for the September event, so PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE folks, show up if you can (and tell 'em you're there for Mego North). Especially all of you lurkers out there that have been introducing themselves to us lately!

It appears our Museum/Plaid Stallions curator is able to join us this weekend after all! I had the good fortune of getting a sneak peak at some of the awesomeness he's been planning for Mego Meet, Mego North and beyond. Hopefully we'll get a preview of some of these AMAZING goodies this weekend.

I was able to come due to the promise that I shrink some inventory cluttering the house. Plus I have a goal of making some much needed Megomeet money, so there will be deals!

I'm currently working out a deal on getting more table space. Hey, more space means I can bring more of my crap to sell, everyone wins!

Thanks to Sam Noir, Palitoy, CJs and all the other Megonauts for making today's show fun and informative..a little community within a toy show. Now I REALLY wish I were able to go south next weekend. I am proud to be the owner of one of those sweet Daredevil figs too. Looking forward to September now.
