    Your action figure theme music

When you were a kid, playing w/ your action figures and you got to a fight scene, or some really exciting part in your adventure, didja ever sing some theme song, (y'know doing the da-da-da to some instrumental overture), from a fave TV show or movie?

With me it was "Bigfoot & Wildboy". My friend would do the Charlie's Angels theme when we played w/ her dolls. And just about every boy I knew w/ a Batman figure had to do the theme song when Bats would come in and foil whatever foe he was playing with.

    Did you guys do this?
"Do you believe, you believe in magic?
'Cos I believe, I believe that I do,
Yes, I can see I believe that it's magic
If your mission is magic your love will shine true."

I remember "Bigfoot & Wildboy". I liked watching that show as a kid. For me it was the original Batman theme. da-da-da I still like it today. I also was into Star Wars so that was another theme song intro I did along with the ever so popular Imperial March.
Enjoy what you like, and let others enjoy what they like. (C) Azrak 2009

When playing with my WGSH Megos I always hummed/"sang" the theme from Super Friends. Later on in life when I would play with my Star Wars figures I would just play my Star Wars movie soundtrack 8-track.

I have memories of me and my friends humming the background music from The Rat Patrol. Not the theme song, but the mood music that they'd use when the RP were sneaking into some German compound, as they did in almost all the shows...

        Da-da da-da ching-ching, da da-da!

I think Garrison's Guerillas used a similar mood music.

When i was playing with my BATMAN it was the theme from the 66 BATMAN SHOW, If it was POTA or STARTREK it was the theme from STAR TREK if MR SPOCK was in the middle of a grand adventure it was the fight scene music from the epsiode AMOK TIME where Kirk was in the life/death fight with SPOCK

I always thought the A-TEAM had the best intro.Any time you can mix a cool tune like that with machine gun fire is awesome.

I know that a bunch of my friends and I would do various themes when we played w/our action figures. (Battlestar Galactica, Star Trek, Star Wars, Buck Rogers....)

With Superman, I thought of the theme song from the original Filmation cartoons from the late 60's. In the early 70's they used to play them every afternoon when I would get home from school on a local station. Hmm. Now that I think of it, those cartoons were bundled with Superboy and I always wished that Mego would make a Superboy and Krypto, too.
                      It's all good!

The Superfriends theme song from the first season. The one with Wendy and Marvin. It's used more in the 1st season than any of the others. Perfect hero music. Quite abit of the '66 Batman series was hummed and played back on my old tape recorder too.

I was at a comic con and was speaking with Mark Waid. He told me that when he writes comic books, the theme song from The Superfriends plays back in his head. Also when he reads comics. I thought that was just too cool.

I always had theme music going when I played as a kid, either supplied by me-self ,or playing the record. .....When nobodies looking....I still do this. I even composed some of my own stuff, including a little number I used when Batman was being stealthy...I hummed it for a girlfriend once who told me it sounded like a cross between the Batman tv show and the theme from Sesame Street!!??
