Has anyone ever seen one of these in exisitence? links? picture(s)? I know they were obviously made because of the loose silver soldier apes. I am kind of curious how often they come around and what kind of price I can expect to pay for one when I do find one. Thanks!

As a kid all I ever saw was the "standard" Soldier Ape in the black tunic, now known as "blue". I didn't even know that there were color variations until December 2007. And I owned at least 4 Soldier Apes as a kid.Scott -
I personally have never seen one carded yet for sale although I was never really looking for them until now either though.

In the past ten years, as far as I can remember, there have only been 4 carded ones on ebay. Three were not advertised as silver and sold for $125-250. One was advertised as silver and if I remember correctly it sold for $425. Thats not to say there could have been many more with bad pics that made them look blue.
There's also a silver ursus. I have only seen one carded one on ebay, perhaps 7 years ago. It was listed first, not advertised as silver and sold for $450 and then was flipped by the winner a year later and sold for $850 (advertised as silver of coarse). I have never seen a loose silver ursus on ebay.
hope that helps,

Hi MikeJ, That does help a lot. Thanks a ton! I sure would have loved to get in on any of those previous auctions you mentioned. Those prices were not bad at all compared to what I was thinking it would have sold for. I was thinking in my mind that it would go for something around $1,000.00 as I really had no idea and was just giving it a guess. I had bought a couple of blue tunic apes in the past as they looked silver in some of the pictures that I seen just as you indicated. Only to find out of course when they actually arrived that they were blue tunics of course. That is one of the bummers or another one of the pros and cons of some of the auctions on eBay with all of the pictures being so different regarding picture size and picture quality. Some sellers use the flash some don't. Some sellers have good quality equipment and some may not be as fortunate or not able to afford as much so they are stuck with the older cameras still. Mostly the newbies as they may not understand the importance of good pictures when selling on eBay. I am in no way complaining as I have won some pretty good deals on the Bay in the past thanks to bad pictures. Thanks again for the info. That is music to my ears.
