I think Cap is the one I am most eagerly awaiting. I want to see "modern" Cap!

Glad to see it's just the way the original Mego was.

That Cap costume is a little loose and the seam in the crotch looks off. maybe it was just a quick prototype thrown together. the Parker figure looks great, though.

That old Cap figure remains a bummer to me to this day. I was hoping they'd fix the sleeves, and maybe throw in some extra red hands or even some gloves (red oven mitts?) For me at least the original Cap Mego has never done anything for me, not even for nostalgia reasons, so they really need to wow me with the other two heads and outfits.

I'll purchase the Cap set if the updated version gives us a kick-butt figure, and also if they throw in a figure with Cap wearing his blue and silver stealth duds ala the Winter Soldier movie (and a grayed-out shield would be a perfect accessory for him.) Plain old Rogers in civilian clothes won't do it for me. I really want that stealth outfit.

One question--if these are all supposed to be three-packs, why does Cap have a box that can only fit one figure?

Now that it is raining Re-Megos, the manufacturers need to source out better fabric that is less baggy. That is seriously a peeve of mine that makes the figure look sloppy.

That's pretty cool actually--that means that a nice repro Mego box should also be counted as something tangible that these sets provide, and that should be weighed against the purchase price. I'll definitely keep that original Cap figure in the box.

It's not just baggy fabric, these people don't sew a really close inseam! Evidently, they have never heard of using a zigzag stitch or a serger.

It's not altogether impossible to serge something that small; that's why something called 'stabilizer' was invented! Put the stabilizer under the seam, and serge! That way, you have enough fabric to sew! And stabilizer can be torn away!

That's what bugs me about the CTVT tights! Not only do some of them NOT stretch, they are sewn too big! And the seam allowances aren't trimmed for spit!

Which is why I get most of my tights from Theressa, here on the board. She does great work; she uses stretchy fabric, a small stitch, and very nice tight seams. The tights fit perfectly on both male and female bodies, and the seams themselves are trimmed down as tight as possible. She's more expensive than CTVT, but quality is worth it!

I was at C2E2 on Saturday (I reserved Sunday for the Chicago Toy Show -- another story altogether, as well as a Mego bonanza!).

This was the fourth year in a row for me at the con... it was also the fourth year in a row for "G'nort", a costume which I debuted in 2011 at C2E2 --

In Mego-related news, I picked up two figures at the convention: a custom "Kilowog" and a loose (Star Trek) Montgomery Scott.

This remains one of my favorite conventions.

I saw you in your costume. You came through my booth and bought the custom Kilowog. Wish I had known you were Mego Museum family.

All I did was peruse your Megos, and pester you for prices on your AHI apemen... that should have been a clue!
