So, that episode had Charlie, Greg and Mark Huckabone! WOW!
My only gripe is saying Stan "designed" the Marvel Heroes. I know the whole "co-created" thing is a sticking point for him, but I've never heard anyone credit him with designing anything. Taking nothing away from Stan, Kirby and Ditko designed those characters.

That was super Megoey...The Megoest episode ever. Great fun watching this episode. I have heard Marks name thrown about, it was nice to put a face to the name. I will watch it several more times. Whos customs were those on the wall, that were sold towards the end there...Batman and Robin in custom Boxes...Robin looks like he might be a potsie?Comment

Is this the same one that was on the show?

Awesome! Great to see Charlie and Greg on the episode. I was actually at Kane County that day but left before all the filming. Missed all the fun!!Comment

sure looks like the same one sideshow. it was a fun episode to watch but it always annoys me how staged everything is. I don't believe any of the selling prices they use on the show. the artwork thing and Stan Lee was funny but a total crock. still, it is fun seeing all that vintage goodness and Jordan always has fun with itComment

The best part was when they referenced how late Huckabone is all the time and Stan Lee's Members Only jacket.Comment

Here I thought that there was yet another "sealed" example, but after seeing the eBay auction appears as though the original one (John Bonavita owned and sold to Mark) is still the only sealed example.
I love the show, but the two main parts where they "sold" the WW and Stan Lee showing up were SOOOO staged. Nonetheless, terrific episode!Comment

It is indeed the same one. Could someone out here PM me the "real/true" story behind this piece along with who owns it as I am always interested in sales/stories for the rarer pieces. Funny thing is that the card looked sealed on the show. I wonder if Mark bought the card and then resealed it himself. I am willing to bet he owns it as well.

"You can post on behalf.... I am traveling.
It is NOT the same one... Mark had two.
Stan and Max did indeed purchase the artwork. To further the fact that this was not staged... We also again filmed with Stan in Portland.
Thanks for contacting me.... Trust me..it was all real. "
That being said.........I have met Jordan and spoken with him on several occasions. He is the real deal, and the interactions you see on the show are authentic. Retakes, voice overs, or scheduling with celebrities in no way detracts from the true interactions being filmed.
Normally I wouldn't have brought up a thread to another person as it's not my business, but in this case I don't believe that such sweeping accusations which while perceived as innocent are actually harmful to another's reputation need be done. If a statement is to be made base it on fact and not opinion. Don't take this reply the wrong way, but just remember that if you weren't there, and didn't speak to those involved, you should make accusations.Last edited by Mr. Hollywood; Feb 17, '14, 9:02 AM.Comment

Loved the Toy Biz control art! WOW. The pricing was really great. I get the feeling Stan liked the prices as well. Evil Mark is always fun to see.
Asked a friend of mine who owns a vintage toy store to watch the show. He seemed up in the air about how excited everyone is on the show. To this I said; Yeah, we are more reserved in our transactions. Then again, you weren't with me the day I bought my Marx Robin Hood Castle playset. The common comment that day was; 'Who hasn't seen Dino's Robin Hood playset?'
Thanks everyone at 'Toy Hunter', for such a great show.Comment

I brought your reply up to Jordan since it's pretty harsh. Here was his reply:

Mark owns the example listed on these very galleries located at http://www.megomuseum.com/wgsh/wonderwoman.html
Mark used to own the one which had been listed for sale recently on eBay http://www.ebay.com/itm/1977-Austral...item4d18e6b172
Then the third is owned by another member on these boards with whom I know. So if you are telling me this example is not from the Australian eBay auction which another member posted here then that means there are 5 not four. It would also be amazing to me how the price sticker is in the exact same spot.
These are facts as you've requested.
I am not trying to start any unwanted or unnecessary bickering, but when someone posts a thread accusing me of accusations I will stand up for myself. Lastly, I can believe Stan bought those pieces for himself, but my point was more that the scene appeared staged to me. After all, forums such as these bring collectors together to talk about what we cherish and love and it never hurts to ask questions.
Peace out.Comment
