Busted knees Mr Scott question

Hello folks,

Quick poll of your opinions ...

I got a Star Trek Mr Scotty sealed on a card from eBay recently.

It appears the pins in both knees are broken and he's a bit wobbly.

So, do I leave him as is? Is the value shot cause he's sealed but broken? Do I bust him out of the bubble and repair him? Do I attempt to repair him thru the bottom as I have seen someone post about here?

Darn that 40 year old plastic.

My opinion would be that a broken leg Mr. Scott on card would probably be worth about as much as a mint Mr. Scott off the card. I would probably just leave him sealed on the card.

It would bug me having any broken figure on a card. But if the legs are still in position and the figure still looked presentable, I'd probably just leave him. On the other hand, if the broken legs are floating around in the bubble and the integrity of the figure is compromised, appearance wise, I'd bust him out and get a new body for him.
