    New Guy Here.

Hello to all you Mego guys

Just dropped in to say hi, from the UK.

Im mainly an Action Man collector and trader but Iv been looking for a new thing to collect and Mego could be it

I used to have a few Planet of the ape, star trek and a battered Captain America figure as a kid.
My passion was rekindled recently with an impulse ebay win of a mego Starsky and Hutch, my favorite TV show of all time.

Iv been told they are slightly rarer.. and came in a double pack, having different waistcoat and shoes, but its all new to me I have a lot of learning to do in the mego world.

I also have the only Action Man reflocking service currently in the UK and do a lot of customising and restoration on vintage Action Man
Iv seen a lot of cool stuff on here like the Jim Rockford figure......helpfully Ill be able to contribute once I get a few mego figures to work on.

While I await the arrival of Dave and Ken I found this site and here I am

    Welcome aboard!

You're right about the UK S&H, they came in a unique two pack or on their own cards, either way, UK Hutch has a (Very cool) leather vest and Starsky can have weird variations like Space:1999 boots.

          Nice to see another Brit.
How do you like the weather across the Uk at the moment.
          Winds of 90mph.
Anyway stay indoors and enjoy your stay.

Welcome aboard as well! I to am new to the board, have lurked for a bit though. As my name implies I love these toys, figures what have you. Growing up, I had so many of them, I kept them in the boxes and had I known how valuable they would be become, would have kept them. My parents moved me around so much that it just became a hell of alot easier to throw things out than to pack them up. I hold tons of resentment towards them for it. In any event, I started collecting them a few years ago with my only son and we have a decent little collection in his room. (We won't be throwing these out any time soon)

Hi Action Burt! I see they got you signed up lickety split!

Why, I'm just going to post an Action Burt custom job that I had done last year...

                          Introducing: The Kristofferson...

All vintage GI Joe. The jacket and shirt were dyed in a more modern colour palate (by me).

Please overlook the eyebrows -- he sat too close to the fire.

Hi Joe, the Kristofferson is still looking good, I wouldn't worry about the eyebrows as the real Kristofferson doesnt have any either

I look forward to getting some megos so I can try my hand at them.

In the meantime I might post a few pics of my vam handiwork in the non mego section.
