That's awesome Megos with mixed Toys, thanks for sharing!
That "Mego Mania" is very similar to my own Website & Forums! Too bad is mine seems dead pass few years.....
I'm ok and staying on this Mego Museum and Facebook, glad to be around 'em.Comment

Thanks so much for being the AV club this weekend Brian! Great stuff. I'm usually snap-happy with my cel-phone camera, but I was so busy chatting away the whole time with folks coming by our tables, that I only took six photos (five of them were Rocket Robin Hood original art).
Y'know, Steve and Paula of the Burlington Toy show also did a terrific job grouping us with the other like-minded vintage vendors in our aisle... so much so that I didn't even notice that this was in fact the smallest Burlington Toy Show in years (I dashed to the "other room" at the end of the show, only to find it blocked off!).Last edited by samurainoir; Jan 21, '14, 2:11 PM.Comment

I think it's funny how many times I got your brother into the shot Ed, even when I was in another part of the room he'd wander into shot drinking a coke or something.
I was worried when they told me the second room wasn't available but i I think it helped us as the attendance was really strong, which meant less competition.Places to find PlaidStallions online: https://linktr.ee/Plaidstallions

Boy, am I glad my brother came along... I originally told him not to bother because we'd all be there, but he wanted to come just to hang out anyways. He really took care of the bulk of sales and watching the table since I was so busy the whole time. Also held onto most of the money so I wouldn't spend it willy nilly as soon as I got it. With all the traffic coming through our little Mego North corridor, he sold a lot of his GI Joe and SDCC Con exclusives and managed to make a bit of money as well. Win-win for everyone.
I'm sure most of the vendors from the London-kitchener-guelph-hamilton corridor stuck closer to home at the competing toy shows in Hamilton and London that day. I'd be really curious to see how well they did at their respective shows, since Burlington obviously drew in everyone from the GTA.Comment

Yeah, there wasn't much room to walk around during the first few hours, and the crowds continued to be busy well into the afternoon when things usually die down enough for Chris and I to make our ritual lunch-run to pick up burgers for everyone (big ups to Cjefferys for ALWAYS driving to pick up lunch!).
Nice video recap! And I was happy to not see some toy I wanted in the video that I missed seeing in person, that would have really bugged me...Comment
