It's a show that's main focus is 80's toy gear like Transformers, Masters of the Universe, Super Powers et al, and my Mego North Brethren will not be tabling with me, but I am determined to MEGO REPRESENT!

I will have my customs and ReMego stuff, and be carrying a full selection product Brick Mantooth Productions line of fine wares. plus FREE MEGO MUSEUM TRADING CARS and MEGO MEET/PLAID STALLIONS/RACK TOYS POSTCARDS. (including the new run of Batman cards).

My brother will have GI Joe RAH, SDCC exclusives he's picked up over the past few years, and Art Toys (like 3A)

Now there's dedication! We aren't planning to vend anytime soon we are running out of stuff to sell. I'm waiting for the flea market season to start back up in the spring to get some stock. We'll should be visiting a couple of those shows your at and we'll swing by. How was the show Yesterday?

I was scared at first... that first hour is usually good for making table money (which is twice as much as burlington), but it was really quiet! Made like, ten bucks in that first hour.

I was totally convinced it would be a bust. Then the crowds poured in and you couldn't even move through the aisles around noon hour. Lucky I had my brother again because there were time where I felt like I was even busier than last week.

And usually this isn't much of a Mego crowd, I usually push the Star Wars and Turtles, but I sold a lot of ReMego. I think there is really something in the air right now, I don't know if it's Toy Hunter/Comic Book Men, but folks know the term "Mego", even the eighties "kids"

Kitchener is your neck of the woods right? I'll have your Stan Lee custom done by the time we catch you guys in a couple of weeks.

Sounds like a decent show! I haven't done any of that guy's shows yet, price per table kinda keeps me from doing it. Actually we are a bit closer to Woodstock and Hamilton than Kitchener, but all 3 are really close to us. With all these snow days I've been having trying to get up to work in Kincardine I might be vending again a lot sooner Awesome news on Stan! That's a great looking figure!

I shared some table space at one of those 80s toy cons once and didn't sell a single thing. I watched Mark clean up for hours on end with Joe and MOTU. I swore off them for good that weekend, it was packed, but not with my crowd.

Yeah, I'd probably get pantsed if I tried setting up at a show that focused on 80's toys....

I sold the most stuff and made the most money ever at a show during their summer Action Figure Expo, which is why I was game for this one.

Yeah, it's definitely a Transformers/Star Wars crowd too (those vendors do spectacularly well here from chatting with them). I think it helped that my brother had some SDCC Transformers/Joe stuff, he sold a big piece and some carded joe.

I think we can benefit as well since it is so 80's centric. All it takes is the right person to come along, and there were a number of "right persons" that day for me in the various ReMego niches. Not enough vintage Monster representation, so when a classic monster guy who isn't into Jason and Freddy comes along, it was good.

Also Old School Doctor Who fans... so I sold a bunch of those. I knew Tom Baker would move, but someone was even asking for a Sontaron, which I've already earmarked for my Strax exclusive custom unfortunately. Sold a bunch of Matty Retro Action, and I think this really has to do with the CTVT Batman being a presence. Sold out of all my Cylons as well, and could have sold even more if I was able to find them in my stash.

I was honestly shocked that ReMego was moving so well... I sold more of them here than at Mego North!

and I got some custom commissions as well, which was really cool. I'm not a huge Wrestling guy, but I figure that this is what "Megovangelism" is all about... turning folks onto the 1/9th format.

                          I would disagree Mr Godzilla/Kaiju-man!

Think about the Transformers/Power Rangers demographic for a sec! Anything in the Pacific Rim range is generally on their radar.

Next 80's show is on May 4th. Give me some of your stuff to sell as an experiment. Especially that Talking Freddy. I'm convinced that and the SuperDeformed Godzilla vinyls would move.

Good point, I didn't think of that. I finally got rid of Freddy at the last show (I let him go for a big discount, but hey, it was still more than I had paid for him) but I'd like to move the SD Godzillas. Maybe I can bum a bit of table room at the May show? I could chip in. I'm still not sure about my spring schedule, we are still trying to figure out when the heck we are going to Japan (gotta talk to you about that too as soon as I see when my wife is planning to go!)
