I think its great that you opened it for a lot of different reasons... the main one's being that 1. it's yours do what you want with it and 2. I'd almost bet that you spent hours and hours of regenerating, youthful bliss looking at that MINT figure in your hand. That's the big win as far as I'm concerned and worth more than any carded "value".Comment

It's yours, so why not?
You just put the action in action figure!
80% of my Megos are loose as well.
The Pin Pin cards are still in demand here in Europe, though. Sold a carded Spidey last october at a convention for $180. The guy said "wow, great price!".

I pulled my mint Batman and Spider-Man off of 1979 Pin Pin cards. Granted, I bought them for $40 and $20, respectively, over 20 years ago, and opened them a few years after that, but I know the feeling.
Having said that, I'm not sure I'd do it now, because it is much easier to come by or assemble a minty figure thanks to the internet. But that's just me, and it's yours to do as you wish. Enjoy!

Boy, is it ever! I am an immigrant to The Mego community, having come from Star Wars land, and it is a completely different (better, more easygoing) vibe over here. I swear, some Star Wars collectors must need anxiety meds and therapy sessions to enjoy the hobby.Comment
