Wow! That's really cool! Our local comic store will occasionally carry some retro stuff, but not as much as before, b/c the stuff winds up being peg warmers. It's sad, b/c it doesn't seem like the dads who are old enough to remember will jump on this stuff for their kids, and of course, the younger dads, (who are mostly the ones who shop at comic shops around here anyway), don't remember it to begin with."Do you believe, you believe in magic?
'Cos I believe, I believe that I do,
Yes, I can see I believe that it's magic
If your mission is magic your love will shine true."Comment

What they had at Planet Richmond Hill a couple of months ago...
Their stock of Kahn exclusives seems to have dwindled... they have upped the price on them above retail.

This is actually a pretty huge deal... Markham, a suburb of Toronto, has more or less one main Comic Store, Heroes World, that focuses almost exclusively on mainstream comics. I've never ever seen any kind of ReMego in there. The folks who run this place are Transformers and Video Game generation. I think it's a pretty huge deal that they decided to stock Batman ReMegos (I don't even think they got in Batman 66 figures).

They are not masters at retail placement. I pop into Heroes World on occasion, I think it switched hands because the original dude who owned it was definitely our age. My wife bought his Phoenix diecast off him at a toyshow ten years back and I've never seen him again.Places to find PlaidStallions online: https://linktr.ee/Plaidstallions

That's great to see. The main shop I go is usually stocks any sci-fi or superhero related retros but I haven't seen any Batman there yet.Comment

Sitting in the Eaton Centre getting my sulk on as Silver Snail was out of the Metaluna Mutant and Phantom of the Opera. I don't get to T.O. Too often and was really looking forward to picking these guys up.
Oh well, on the bright side they're selling well and not warming pegs.
Although the kid working there didn't know what "universal monsters" were.Comment

Yeah, they have really stocked up on hipsters on staff at the Silver Snail since they went all "Hot Topic" in the new location. Unfortunately, their knowledge of old school product, particularly the ReMegos is non-existant.
Go to ToysToysToys in the Eaton Centre if you are looking for some cheap Mattel Retro Action (wave 4).
I'll likely have a Meta Luna Mutant at Mego North in January (it's currently on my table at the Hamilton Toyshow... but it's at least an hour's drive from Toronto).

I love Silver Snail! almost everything in store is still 20% off today 'til 6PM in Toronto. FTC batman 8" are now $23.99 with the discount (only Batman is sold out), and those wonderfully heavy carrying cases are also 20% off (1 of each of the 4; by the Cash Register, on the floor)Comment
