Mego Star Trek TV Spot from 1980s Toronto

Finally decided to go through some old VHS tapes today and found this amazing item within a half hour.

A couple of years after the big warehouse find, the folks at Amazing 3rd Planet set up a shop and began running these awesome TV spots on City TV. I remember them well, it's how we met and became friends.

The store is sadly no longer.

I don't think I've ever seen an ad for vintage mego before. That's pretty cool... and a great price!

That's awesome, I didn't know that 3rd Planet actually aired ads on City TV selling these. Great find!

All the Toyshop ads I remember just offered Kirk, Spock and the Klingon.

Very cool they had them all.

Wow! 3397 Yonge would be just up the street from me according to Google Maps.

So would this have been the last of the Parkdale Warehouse stock?

Kind of funny to see the old location sandwiched between two burger locations like that now. The owners of A3P were the first vegetarians I ever met.

It was probably the largest majority of it. There were other people who had some, like me!

Burger's Priest has a line-up out front most days even before it opens at 11:00am.

the house specialty is a deep fried portobello mushroom stuffed with cheese and roasted red pepper, on top of a quarter pound beef patty. Was that down with a black cherry Cott soda.

I took another member of the museum there, and shortly after, he had to have bypass surgery. True story.

Yeah I read an article about Burger Priest, it sounds intriguing but I think I'll stick with Harry's Drive In on Kennedy and Lawrence.

I know brad and Jeannie and visited there once in the 80's. Last I know they still offer stuff on Ebay and still have some of the big warehouse find left.

Cool! I scored some Trek figures from them. They were super nice.
