Megos in the mail today--upgraded my Will Scarlet

Oh, how I love this line--wouldn't a second wave have been awesome?:

* Sheriff of Nottingham
* Guy of Gisbourne
* Maid Marian
* Alan-a-Dale

And the aborted One Million BC Treehouse as a playset.

Without a doubt they are great looking figures.

But without a playset or even a villain they probably weren't a lot of fun for kids to play with. I would have dropped Tuck and Will and had the Marian and the Sheriff in the first wave.

Same with the Knights. Great looking figures. But not a lot a fun with out Merlin and Guinevere.

You are right about assortments. It would have been so easy to do five, like POTA & Knights waves, & add at least the Sheriff. The knights at least had a Black knight to fight.

Or drop Will, cool as he is, & add the Sheriff. After all, Robin, Little John, & Tuck have the most recognition.

The weird thing is, Scarlet has unique tooling that could've been appropriated for the villain.

Robin Hood is a great line. As an adult collector, it is one of my favorite Mego lines. More characters and a playset would have boosted the line's playability, and therefore, possibly, its popularity. Robin Hood, Will Scarlet, & Little John are all great; I would have only dumped Friar Tuck, as he is kinda silly looking, and added Sheriff of Nottingham...

I agree Robin Hood was one of the nicest lines Mego had next to the Knights and POTA.

that great you got us some pictures? I also love the robin hood line great sculpts...I managed to get up to 3 boxed up to yet my robin hood is loose but minty so I either need to get a boxed one ..or go for repro box... but happy to have them all in good shape
