I was a Mego nut when I was a kid, still am. According to that list I had 26. By the way there is no Wonder Woman on that list. I never had her so it didn't change my total. I was also missing the Titans, Alter Egos, Isis and Supergirl. I had multiples of almost all of those. I loved in a brick apartment and discovered that I could snag Spidey's costume on the brick so he looked like he was wall-crawling.I went through a lot of them like that.

I also had Dr. Zaius, Astronaut, Kirk, Spock, McCoy, Uhura, Scotty, Kligon, Cheron, Fonzie, Muhammad Ali, 12in. Spidey, 12in. Superman, 12in. Hulk and a few Action Jacksons. This isn't counting playsets, vehicles or Micronauts. On a side note: I wish action figure lines had more playsets and vehicles nowdays. It used to be almost a given that a line would have them. Now it's rare.

Wow, I was lucky to have such kind parents. They still told me no sometimes though. I will never forget visiting my Grandparents in West Virginia and going to the Ben Franklins in Whitesville. I found a RC Robin and this was years after those were out.My Mom would not get him for me because she was tired of buying the same ones over and over. My pleas fell on deaf ears. I couldn't get her to care that this was a can't leave behind, have to get now kind of thing. To be fair though, I'm sure whenever I got a no for an answer I would try to convince her to change her mind.

Yeah my Mom figured out and taught me the rubber band trick. She used crochet needles to pull the rubber bands through the body. I can't remember the first figure she did this with, I'm sure it was a type 1. That first time I was pretty jazzed. What was broken is now fixed. Thank God for smart Moms. They saved the day many times.

Yay! My Mom showed me how to do it, and suddenly I became the WGSH among my friends with broken figures. HA!

          Supply was very limited here.
Superheroes were scarce, we had Batman, Robin, Spiderman and Superman.
When in luck, some from France found their way here, but as a kid, these four were the only ones I could find.

The Trek crew was available, and my Apes came from Spain.
I found all of the Knights, these were popular.

To be honest, it's thanks to the good folks here that my collection finally became what it is today!

Man, I never felt so outta the loop on a thread on MM before. As much as I love Megos, and watched the commercials as a kid, I never owned any superheroes. I guess watching Superhero cartoons like Superfriends and Filmation Batman was enough for me then. Just 2 black AJs and Lainie. *sigh*

Most of mine bought locally came boxed from McCrorys since my sister worked there but a couple of years at Christmas I remember getting a ton of stuff that my parents ordered from Heroes World. The only female figure I had was the Invisible Girl. Had all of the vehicles except for the GA car but never had any playsets.

I had only 12 inch and 3 &3/4 inch Mego Super Heroes as a kid. I'm not sure why I never had 8".

                      I had

                      12 inch - Hulk, Spiderman & Superman
Comic Action - Superman, Batman, Robin, Wonder Woman & Joker.

Didn't have a ton. Between my 2 younger brothers and me, we had Batman, Robin, Superman, Aquaman, Spiderman, and Captain America. Also had the Batmobile. We also had the Wizard of Oz set. Still, it was no biggie since I had a buddy down the street with all the Apes as well as a ton of heroes. Plus, my cousins had all the Trek figures.

All the 8" line, including Isis and the Titans but not the AE's. I didn't even know they existed.

I'm not sure how many CAH I had, but I did have the exploding bridge and Fortress of solitude along with the playset-appropriate figures. I never had the 12" figures.
                          WANTED - Solid-Boxed WGSH's, C.8 or better.

                              Between me and my brothers...

8 WGSH: Spider-man, Iron Man, Captain America, Superman, Batman, Robin, Aquaman, Hulk (+ Batmobile, Spider-Car)
6 Trek: Kirk, Spock, McCoy, Scotty, Uhura, Klingon (+ Enterprise playset)
2 CHiPS: Ponch, John (+ motorycle)
                              Fonzie (+ Fonzie's hot rod)
                              Action Jackson
Flash Gordon playset (found on clearance... I never even realized there was a 9" line of these as a kid)

And yes, several duplicates along the way to repair broken figures... a lot of snapped legs, I remember. When I broke a favorite figure, I would head swap with my less favorite figures or Frankenstein together parts from several figures. Good training, as it turned out!
