What Mego would you show to impress someone ???

Having a few Mego's now, and some MOC (ish) and in my glass cabinets.
I was thinking that I would like to impress one of my brothers sooo much that maybe he would join us here.
Might even send him a card.

So what Mego would you show to impress someone ???

I'd go with either Green Arrow or Captain America. Although I know if I tried that with my brother he'd try and have me commited.

If it's an outsider, everyone knows Superman, so I go with my Solid Box large S Superman. He's among the earliest Mego Superheroes and is mighty cool.



If it's a Megohead I go with the carded Green Arrow and Riddler.

I'd use combinations to impress them depending on their interests

WGSH - Superman, Spiderman and Green Arrow (although there a lots of good choices)
Trek - Kirk, Spock and Andorian
POTA - Cornelius, Burke and Helmet Head Urko
Other good ones - Starsky, Hutch and Huggy Bear

Well, most non-Mego folks seem to be impressed w/ my POTApes figures or Star Trek figures.

I think I would stay clear of the WGSH and probably opt for the Apes. As much as Superheroes are so recognisable there are plenty of modern superhero toys still around today which would dilute the impact, but very little in the way of ape toys, so, yeah, it's apes all the way for me.


I'd be keen to show my Romulan or Commander Koenig because I know what they mean to me but to the uninitiated their meaning would be wasted.

I've moved this thread from General Buzz to Mego Buzz since it's about...Megos. Gee whiz.

You know, when people are unimpressed with heroes or whatever, Ivanhoe is a nice one. The knights are pretty impressively detailed.

It depends on the person for example my cousin Dave is a huge DR WHO fan so i'd show him my Denny fisher DR WHO figure, Now my brother i'd show him the KISS GENE SIMMONS figure as he's a huge KISS fan

Both the Knights and the Pirates are pretty impressive when it comes to suits and accessories. Superhero minded people might be impressed with a RC Batman. Palitoy cards are also way cool, they look much better than Mego cards

Color me impressed!!! As someone looking for just one, good solid boxed figure, I love this one. Big "S"-ed and bright as can be. Just think of what you could buy if you sold it to me (mwoo hoo haa haa!),

I don't know that any non-mego head is impressed with any one item in my collection. However, when I show them the shelving unit I have filled with them, they seem to be mildly interested.

He's always been into Batman or the Dark Knight, but I think that if he sees the Batman Mego he might start laughing, Maybe RC Batman would be better. That Super-man could do it, but I can see that over exposure of other Super Hero toys may take away the WOW factor.
Now the POTA, That - Could - Just - Work.
Not sure if he's into Dr. Who.
