It's set on my DVR.
Just saw it right now...one of the best in the series for sure...and what a difference between Kirk Hammett, a REAL collector who cares (unpretentious as well)...from Gene Simmons, who only collects himself...like night and day.
It's cool to see that Hammett was not necessarily looking for something worth thousands (since he can afford it)...he was really content with nice affordable collectibles that he didn't have...that's a sign of a true passionate horror fan...those three items you got for him were perfect...you did a great job, Jordan, well done.
I'm not really a fan of Metallica, but Kirk seems to be an all-around good guy. And he lives about a mile and a half from me, since the article says he's in the Richmond/Seacliff district of San Fran, and I'm in the central Richmond district. Who knows, his kids' nanny might be bringing the kids to the same restaurants I go to!
About the Ahi Mummy... is the version that Jordan got for Kirk unusually rare? It seems to be strapped to a card with plastic tie-downs with a separate dangly tag. The ones I saw when I googled "Ahi Mummy" are sealed on a blister card. Any info about that toy?Comment

the regular mego like AHIs are carded in blisters, that was a bendy type figure and very rare, especially with card back!Comment

That Mummy was a "jiggler," a solid rubber toy with no wires or articulation. It was sold tied to a card as seen on the show, or with just the tag and no backer card. The carded versions are a little bit smaller than the ones that were sold without a card. I thought the carded versions did not have tags, but the one on the show looked like it was the correct smaller version that would have been sold on a card, so I guess the carded ones did have tags.Comment
