    Scooby Doo Villains?

Has any of the new Mego-like companies looked at doing a series based on the villains in Scooby Doo? Caught one of the new animated movies last weekend and the villain looked very cool. Did some checking on the list of villains for Scooby and there is a great selection to choose from. Especially from the 60-70s and 2000 up series. What the heck happened in the 80s is anyone' guess. Some bad choices there, but there is the occasional gem. Their style lends itself well to Mego and could fit right in as villains for the WGSH or Venture Brothers.

A site all about Scooby-Doo which includes a series guide, episode guide, movies, villains, news, and so much more...

I'd love for someone to get the Hannah Barbara license. Scooby Doo figures would be great. The main characters as well as many of the villains. Heck, there's so many Hannah Barbara characters that would be great in the Mego form...

I thought about that after I made the villains post. There really are a lot of characters to choose from. One of the great things about Scooby is that he has been around for such a long time and has new episodes during the 2000s. Reaches the kids and the nostalgia fans. That said, that probably makes it an expensive license to hold. I was hoping for a villain specific line so you don't end up multiple variants of Scooby and the kids, and one villain per series

For the villians U could get just the costumes, at the end of the day it was always some bloke behind a mask. But seriously Id buy into a line of this.

          Hmmmm....

It's a neat idea. Someone here did a set of baddies from the original show and they were perfect; so it CAN be done.

I think Scooby Doo would be a great license for companies that understand competitive price points. Because Scooby Doo would hit mainstream as well as vintage consumers. But the price would have to be there.

After seeing Derek's Scooby customs a few years ago--and luckily, recently in person as well. I have been hoping someone would do a series. Derek's were almost factory-perfect.

I agree with not wanting too many variants of the gang & Scoob, but a marketing-model similar to Venture Brothers could surely work: if each Mystery Inc member had only one variant (which is interesting & plausible), we'd still get ten great, classic villains.

Regarding H-B superheroes, this is an untapped goldmine IMO, but closely tied to a nostalgia market in a way that Scooby-Doo surpasses.
WANTED: Dick Grayson SI trousers; gray AJ Mustang horse; vintage RC Batman (Bruce Wayne) head; minty Wolfman tights; mint Black Knight sword; minty Launcelot boots; Lion Rock (pale) Dracula & Mummy heads; Lion Rock Franky squared boots; Wayne Foundation blue furniture; Flash Gordon/Ming (10") unbroken holsters; CHiPs gloved arms; POTA T2 tan body; CTVT/vintage Friar Tuck robes, BBP TZ Burgess Meredith glasses.

If the Warner Brothers Store was still around,I think the odds of these being made would have gone up.

Here's the link to Scooby and the gang with villains that I did. I would LOVE to see a professionally produced set of these made....

It seems like every time I go to Megomeet, someone asks me to post my Scooby Doo customs again. I made these many moons ago. I've had several requests from people to see them, so here they are. Some of these were in the reImagine catalog, but most were not. If you are a Scooby Doo fan, I hope you enjoy.

Yeah! That's them! Absolutely perfect! It's impossible to imagine Mego-esque figures any other way now.

Scooby-Doo would be a good choice for figures 'cos it's something that's ALWAYS been around, and (with few exceptions) it hasn't changed that much. You could release monsters from any of the series and they wouldn't look out of place.

I think it's one of them series that you'd have to keep the price as low as possible; a limiting factor since I'd bet the license would cost a lot. But you'd need that 'cos I could see the fans and collectors NEEDING to amass an army of all the monsters. I know I would; from the original Creeper to the new cyber Red Dragon....

Yes! The villains are amazing. I love looking at those customs. Every 6 months someone asks about them and it renews my respect for your work. Brilliant.
If a Mego figure of God did not exist, it would be necessary for EMCE to invent him.

I'm almost glad no company has picked up Scott's near-perfect Scooby Doo figures. Heck, let's face it they are perfect!

If some company did, I couldn't help but pony-up $20 a piece for these amazing figures. Of course, then I would absolutely have to have a Mystery Machine!
