Drool Worthy Mego Tomart Carded Page

Was going through yet another old of random stuff. Mostly junk but there were two issues to Tomart (127 & 128 I believe) dealing with "The Story of Mego".
128 deals with WGSH and it's awesome. Catching my eye in particular was this page featuring an unpunched Lizard and a carded Green Goblin that looks to be a different specimen than the one we usually see.

I kinda remember a discussion about this long ago and the GG had been created by photoshop.

Mike's right. As I recall, there is no blister/bubble -- it's the card only -- and they laid a loose figure onto the card and touched up the tears to make it look like a MOC Goblin.

BTW Mike, please check your PMs. I sent you a private message several months ago, but it may have fallen through the cracks. Thanks.

Interesting. Turns out this issue came out the same year I joined up here, so as I hadn't ventured into packaged stuff at the time, so I must have missed the discussion or it came out a little before I joined. Too bad it's not a legit MOC piece. It was still fun looking over the article again anyway after all this time.

I bought the majority of Tomarts Mego collection and there was no carded GG

As I recall their history was a bit spotty too. Tomart's always had pretty pictures, but their research is somewhat lacking.

I own the box Lizard in the middle. It is AFA graded 85 NM+. If my memory serves me correctly Mark donated all the pics to Tomarts and sold that carded Lizard for a ridiculous price...and no it wasn't me who purchased that example.
